About the event
"Two Musical Worlds" brought together two very different pianists for one evening at All Portugal Space: Rém Urásine, a laureate of the International Chopin Competition and winner of the Monte Carlo Piano Masters, and Pablo Lapidusas, a jazz pianist and composer.
The program moved between four-hand duets (including Ravel's Ma mère l'Oye, Gershwin's Cuban Overture and Piazzolla's Oblivion alongside Lapidusas's own compositions) and solo sets: Lapidusas performing jazz arrangements of Blackbird and Alfonsina y el Mar, and Urásine playing Chopin's Andante spianato et Grande Polonaise Brillante alongside inventive arrangements of the Barber of Seville overture and Bohemian Rhapsody.
Ticket price included a welcome drink. Held with the support of Open Gate Portugal Association.
